Formula 1 is returning to where it all began! The legendary Silverstone circuit is set to come alive once again for the 2025 British Grand Prix, scheduled for this weekend.
With its iconic high-speed corners such as Copse, Maggotts, Becketts and Stowe, the 5.891-kilometre Silverstone circuit is a favourite among drivers. It also offers plenty of overtaking opportunities on the Wellington and Hanger straights, as well as in ‘The Loop’ at the start of the lap.
The home of motor racing, Silverstone made history by hosting the very first Formula 1 race in 1950. As every year, the 2025 edition promises to be a thrilling spectacle with several eagerly awaited duels.
The intensity of this race is the perfect opportunity for thrill-seekers and online betting enthusiasts to bet live on their favourite drivers and teams, with the best F1 odds available right here at betFIRST.

British Grand Prix Preview
The main attraction of this Grand Prix will be the title duel between the two McLaren drivers, Oscar Piastri and Lando Norris.
Thanks to his victory in Austria, local hero Norris is now just 15 points behind his teammate and championship leader. The British McLaren driver is impressing and starting to dream of the title. On Sunday, he will attempt to win his first ever race at Silverstone.
Max Verstappen, whose future seems increasingly likely to be with Mercedes, finds himself in a tricky spot. With a 63-point deficit to leader Piastri, the Dutch driver saw his title hopes take a serious hit at the Austrian Grand Prix, where he failed to score any points.
On the first lap of the race, an unfortunate incident saw him collide with Kimi Antonelli and that forced him to retire.
On home turf, seven-time world champion Lewis Hamilton will attempt to return to winning ways in front of his home crowd. Silverstone is his home track.
The British driver has already triumphed there nine times, which is a Formula 1 record. Ferrari will travel to England with a lot of confidence and ambition after its encouraging performance in Austria, where Charles Leclerc finished third.
The famous team had promised changes to its car and unveiled an SF-25 with an improved floor at the last Grand Prix.
