The 13th round of the 2025 Formula 1 season, the Belgian Grand Prix, will take place on Sunday, July 27 at the iconic Spa-Francorchamps circuit.
After a two-week break, F1 returns to action – and we cannot wait to see what drama unfolds on the track. This race will be followed just one week later by the Hungarian Grand Prix, which is right before the prolonged summer break.
This year, the battle at the top could be reshuffled, especially with several key technical upgrades. Ferrari, still chasing its first win of the season, will introduce a new rear suspension. This change could help the Scuderia re-establish themselves as the second-strongest team on the grid, just as they did in Austria a short while back.
McLaren, currently dominating both of the Championships, will aim to maintain their positive momentum with its MCL39. Both of its drivers lead the individual driver standings, with Oscar Piastri narrowly ahead of teammate Lando Norris.
Keep a close eye on Mercedes as well, who won here last year with Lewis Hamilton, and another eye on Max Verstappen, who remains undefeated at Spa for the past three editions of the race.
Spa-Francorchamps is a legendary circuit in the sport, highly appreciated by all of the drivers. Nestled in the heart of the forest, this 7-kilometer track is famous for its fast corners, dramatic elevation changes, and often unpredictable race scenarios.
The famous Eau Rouge-Raidillon section, with its 18% incline, remains one of the most iconic corners in motorsport. This challenging uphill sequence—left, right, then another left in compression—pushes both cars and drivers to their limits.
Weather may also play a key role, as forecasts suggest rain, which could significantly affect drivers’ strategies and overall car performance. Due to the size of the circuit, it’s not uncommon for it to rain in one sector and remain dry in another, creating variable grip levels from corner to corner.
