Europa League 2025/26: Our Matchday 2 Predictions

*All odds are subject to change

AS Roma to beat Lille @ 1.72
Lille will face one of the tournament favorites in AS Roma. Currently co-leaders of Serie A, the Giallorossi started their European campaign perfectly with a victory over Nice. Ahead of another duel with a French side, Gian Piero Gasperini’s men also secured a 2-0 win against Hellas Verona in Serie A and remain on a positive run, even without Paulo Dybala. Based on recent form, Roma are slight favorites against a Lille side that have been playing attractive football, but struggling to convert their chances.

Draw between Feyenoord and Aston Villa @ 3.50
Eredivisie leaders Feyenoord are almost flawless domestically, still unbeaten in the league with six wins and one draw. The Europa League, however, has been a different story, as Ruud van Nistelrooy’s men lost their opener against Braga and need to bounce back against Aston Villa. Last season’s Champions League quarter-finalists come into this match after a convincing 1-0 win over Bologna, but they are still winless away from home in all competitions this season. A tightly contested draw looks very possible.

Racing Genk vs Ferencváros: Oh Hyeon-Gyu to score anytime @ 2.10
Racing Genk carry the responsibility of representing Belgium in the Europa League this season, and their journey began well with a narrow, but crucial, 1-0 win at Glasgow Rangers. Against the reigning Hungarian champions, Genk will rely on their in-form striker Oh Hyeon-Gyu. The South Korean forward, who scored in the first round at Ibrox, has already registered two goals and one assist in the Belgian league this season, and is effectively compensating for the absence of injured star Yira Sor.

Lyon to beat Red Bull Salzburg @ 1.55
Lyon are the surprise package of this Ligue 1 season. After narrowly avoiding relegation in 2024-25 and losing key players like Alexandre Lacazette, Lucas Perri and Georges Mikautadze over the summer, no one expected them to be joint leaders of Ligue 1. Paulo Fonseca’s men also opened their Europa League campaign with a 1-0 win against Utrecht. Riding on maximum confidence and with Malick Fofana in unstoppable form on the left wing, Lyon should take advantage of RB Salzburg’s poor form and bad domestic run in the Austrian Bundesliga.
