Only two points separate Plzen, 8th, and Freiburg, 2nd, in the standings. The German side are coming off an impressive 3–1 win over Nice and may be satisfied with a draw away from home against a pretty strong opponent, who remain unbeaten since the start of the competition. The Czech team also held a high-quality Fenerbahçe side to a 0–0 draw in the previous matchday, and would likely consider another stalemate as a positive result.

Martin Satriano, Lyon’s Uruguayan forward, has struggled to fully express his offensive potential this season. With only one Europa League goal to his name, and still scoreless in the league, the Lens loanee should look to take advantage of this match against a theoretically weaker opponent to find the back of the net again.
