This is the headline clash of the Pro League weekend. Leaders Union Saint-Gilloise travel to second-placed Club Brugge. Six points already separate the two sides, who both suffered Champions League disappointments this week. Union were heavily beaten at home by Newcastle (0-4), while Club lost away to Atalanta (2-1). But in the domestic league, it’s Union, Brugge, and then the rest. These two giants are likely to battle for the title all season long. Even if Nicky Hayen’s men made a slow start, nothing is decided yet. We predict a hard-fought, possibly cagey game, with a share of the spoils the most likely outcome.
Anderlecht to beat Standard Liège and Under 2.5 goals in the match @ 3.75
Another exciting fixture on Matchday 10 sees Anderlecht host Standard Liège. Currently 4th in the Jupiler Pro League, the Mauves have the chance to move into second place. They are just two points behind Club Brugge, who face Union in a crucial top-of-the-table clash. Thorgan Hazard and his teammates have struggled in attack, scoring only twice in their last three games, but they remain strong defensively. Against a Standard side that looks weaker on paper, Anderlecht could edge this one with a narrow victory.
