Unlike most other European divisions, the Jupiler Pro League is a bit further down the line on its 2024-25 journey.
With 14 matchdays already played after games begun in late July, the table is beginning to take shape.
Genk are the current leaders, followed by Antwerp, reigning champions Club Brugge and Anderlecht.
But how is the Golden Boot race shaping up? Well, with domestic fixtures on pause due to the ongoing international break, now feels the best time to run the rule over the current top scorers.
betFIRST is here to help with your football bet this week and beyond, with a range of online betting options. And new customers can make use of our Welcome Bet offer.
Tolu Arokodare (Genk)
Part of the reason why Genk are sitting pretty at the top of the table is the form of key striker Arokodare. The Nigerian, still just 23, has scored eight goals in 14 appearances this term.
Arokodare also boasts a tally of three assists and if he continues his sparkling form, Genk could go on to claim the Pro League crown.
Kasper Dolberg (Anderlecht)
Dolberg was tipped for great things while at Ajax but never really lived up to expectations. After spells at Nice, Sevilla and Hoffenheim, the Danish international appears to have found a footballing home at Anderlecht.
The 27-year-old has bagged eight of Anderlecht’s 24 goals this season, a very impressive return.
Adriano Bertacinni (STVV)
While STVV as a whole are struggling a tad with just four wins on the board, Bertacinni is enjoying a memorable start to the campaign.
With eight goals in 12 appearances, the centre forward must surely have captured the attention of Europe’s elite.
Jacob Ondrejka (Antwerp)
One part of Antwerp’s lethal attack in 2024-25, Ondrejka is certainly a winger to keep an eye on.
Only 22 years of age, the Swede has scored seven goals and registered four assists in Pro League action, hence why Antwerp are looking good in second place.
Tjaronn Chery (Antwerp)
Another figure in Antwerp’s free-flowing forward line, which is taking the Pro League by storm.
Like Ondrejka, 36-year-old Chery has bagged seven goals and recorded four assists. Ondrejka and Chery combined have netted half of Antwerp’s overall total of 28 goals.
Kevin Denkey (Cercle Brugge)
Last season’s Golden Boot winner has continued where he left off. After bagging 27 goals in 2023-24, Denkey has already scored seven times this term.
The Togo star will surely be in line for a January move, with Lille and MLS franchise FC Cincinnati already linked with the 23-year-old striker.
Daan Heymans (Charleroi)
Charleroi as a whole have not exactly set the Pro League alight in 2024-25, but Heymans certainly has.
The Belgian attacking midfielder has scored seven of his team’s 14 goals in the top flight and without him, they would certainly be far lower than 11th in the table!
