It is Matchday 21 in the Jupiler Pro League and Genk still hold a narrow lead over the chasing Club Brugge as the top two teams in Belgium begin to open up a gap at the top.
The battle to qualify for the league’s Championship Round is also very close, with just six points separating Anderlecht in 3rd and Dender in 9th. Teams within that group will face each other this weekend, as Charleroi (8th) take on Union Saint-Gilloise (5th), and Gent (6th) face Dender (9th).

Club Brugge to beat Anderlecht @ 2.10
Third-placed Anderlecht host second-placed Club Brugge in a game that could see an 11-point gap open up between the two teams. This makes it a must-win for the home side if they still maintain ambitions of winning the league title. But, realistically, even a win would not really change their prospects.
Anderlecht have lost their last two league games, with one crucially being a 2-0 defeat to league leaders Genk, while the other came against Championship Round-chasing Dender. Meanwhile, Club Brugge have been on a positive run that has not seen them lose in any competition since October. Although, the 2-2 draw with USG on Matchday 19 somewhat halted their relentless pursuit of Genk.
We expect Club Brugge to end Anderlecht’s title hopes by winning this weekend.
Charleroi to draw with Union Saint-Gilloise @ 3.55
In one of the two head-to-heads between teams jostling for the Championship Round places this weekend, Charleroi welcome Union Saint-Gilloise.
Both teams enter this fixture in good form, having won three of their last five, although USG are unbeaten in that time while Charleroi have suffered the solitary defeat.
Adding to the tension, Charleroi could move to within one point of their opponents and potentially move into the top six with a win and should other results fall in their favour. As it is such a close call, we are going to sit on the fence and predict a draw.
Royal Antwerp to beat Beerschot @ 1.74
Antwerp are strong favourites to defeat bottom of the table Beerschot, with three points having the potential to move them up into third above Anderlecht.
This is despite just a single win in their last five league games, though that did include a respectable draw against Genk. Nevertheless, their current run will be cause for concern as we enter the most defining part of the season.
Beerschot look destined for relegation – or at very least the Relegation Round – with just one win, two draws and two defeats in their last five league outings. They are an almost unsurmountable 11 points adrift of safety, meaning they will certainly need to go on a surprising streak of results to play in the Pro League next season. With that being said, we reckon Antwerp will take all three points.
Dender vs Gent – Both Teams to Score – Yes @ 1.62
It is the other of the weekend’s encounters between Championship Round hopefuls, as Dender play Gent.
Again, it is another game that is very much in the balance, so instead of predicting the result, our tip for this one is that both teams will find a way to score – what happens after that is for you to try and predict!
Just three points separate these two teams, while goal difference – important when considering these types of bet – currently stands at +6 for Gent and -6 for Dender.
