League leaders Genk are under immense pressure to hold on to the top spot in the Pro League, as they are being chased down by reigning champions Club Brugge. They currently hold a one-point lead, but the situation could have looked so much better if not for some costly dropped points in recent weeks.
The most obvious being the 2-0 defeat to Club Brugge in mid-December, as well as a 2-2 draw with Antwerp over the Christmas period.
