Union Saint-Gilloise to beat Club Brugge @ 2.55
Yesterday evening saw yet another dramatic twist in the Pro League as USG’s 1-0 victory in Bruges saw them take top spot in the Championship Round table. As such, Sunday’s rematch is arguably the biggest game of the season so far and if hosts USG can continue their hot streak, the title is there for the taking. USG have won five matches in a row in the play-offs, conceding just two goals in the process. Now, while a Club Brugge side out for revenge is a scary prospect, the new table-toppers have proven in recent weeks that they are the team to be feared. And we are backing them to take a giant stride towards Belgian football’s biggest prize this weekend!
Anderlecht to beat Gent @ 2.60
Anderlecht’s Championship Round campaign is finally up and running after suffering four consecutive defeats. They thrashed Gent 5-0 on home soil, a scoreline made all the more impressive by the fact of scoring just a single goal in their previous four fixtures! As such, Anderlecht travel to Gent on Sunday full of confidence and hopeful that they can make it back-to-back victories. Gent have lost their last four home matches in the Pro League, including the recent 5-0 hammering by Club Brugge. Anderlecht striker Kasper Dolberg scored four of the goals on Wednesday and we can see the Dane helping to guide his side to another comfortable win.
Genk to beat Royal Antwerp and both teams to score @ 2.75
Genk’s campaign is unravelling in the play-offs after an exceptional regular season. Thorsten Fink’s side are now third in the table after they could only muster a 1-1 draw in Antwerp. So the onus is on Genk to rediscover their mojo at home this Sunday – and we are backing them to do so. Antwerp are yet to win in the 2024-25 edition of the Championship Round and we cannot see them ending that run in Genk’s backyard. But Fink’s side have not kept a clean sheet since March 30, so it is likely the visitors will at least get on the scoresheet in what could be another close contest.
Leuven to beat Standard Liege @ 2.20
In the Europa Conference League Qualification Group, no team has yet mustered two consecutive wins. But we are backing Leuven to make that statistic obsolete after their rematch with Standard. Leuven won 1-0 in Liege on Tuesday evening and they are unbeaten in the play-offs, albeit by drawing the first four matches. Standard, who have scored a measly 26 goals all season, are yet to record a win after the conclusion of the regular season and we can see their campaign ending with a bit of a whimper. Leuven are unbeaten in eight home matches, which is certainly an eye-catching record.
