Jupiler Pro League 2025/26: Matchday 9 Predictions
All odds are subject to change
Anderlecht to beat OH Leuven @ 2.00
Anderlecht didn’t shine, but got the job done on Tuesday against Gent in their rescheduled Matchday 5 fixture (0-1). That win pushed the Mauves up to second place in the Jupiler Pro League, and they’ll be expected to confirm their good form against Leuven, who sit second from bottom. If they show the same intensity and fighting spirit as against Gent, Thorgan Hazard and his teammates should have little trouble overcoming an opponent well within their reach, and continue to pile the pressure on Union Saint-Gilloise.
Standard Liege vs Club Brugge – Draw @ 4.30
Club Brugge’s start to the season has been marked by inconsistency. While they’ve kicked off their Champions League campaign in style, Nicky Hayen’s men are struggling to find their rhythm in the league. Their last game against Westerlo is a perfect example: Brugge conceded a late equalizer in a wild 5-5 draw that will surely leave its mark. Standard, currently sitting in 8th place, need to pick up points to avoid slipping further down the table. A draw looks like a very likely outcome here.
Union Saint-Gilloise vs Westerlo – Both teams to score @ 1.66
With 20 points already, Union Saint-Gilloise look untouchable at the top, and will look to extend their lead further on Saturday against Westerlo. Although the visitors are not on the same level on paper, Sébastien Pocognoli’s side will still have to be wary. Westerlo battled back to draw 5-5 against Club Brugge in their last outing, showing plenty of fight and attacking quality. At the league leaders’ ground, Josimar Alcocer and his teammates will be highly motivated to climb closer to second place, promising an open and goal-filled encounter.
Dender to grab their first win against La Louvière @ 2.50
Bottom of the table with just 2 points, Dender are in a critical situation and still searching for their first victory of the season. Against 10th-placed La Louvière, the task looks tough, but far from impossible. La Louvière, who have already claimed 3 wins this season, come in as favourites, but Dender’s fans are hoping for a much-needed reaction from their side. A victory could serve as the spark that reignites their season, restoring confidence and belief within the squad.
