Atalanta vs Club Brugge – Draw @ 4.10
A very close contest is expected here. Atalanta are still chasing their first win, while Club Brugge are aiming for back-to-back victories in the competition. Heavily outplayed by PSG on Matchday 1 (4-0), Atalanta must react in front of their fans. Brugge, on the other hand, impressed in their 4-1 demolition of AS Monaco at the Jan Breydel Stadium, living up to the high European expectations placed on them. Nicky Hayen’s side now face a real test against an opponent still unbeaten at home. A draw looks like the most probable outcome.
Galatasaray vs Liverpool – Draw @ 4.75
Liverpool suffered their first Premier League defeat of the season last weekend, losing 2-1 to Crystal Palace. Despite a star-studded squad and plenty of attacking talent, the Reds are struggling to find consistency. Galatasaray, meanwhile, are perfect in the Turkish Super Lig but suffered a heavy 5-1 loss at Eintracht Frankfurt in their Champions League opener. Backed by a passionate home crowd, Leroy Sané and his teammates will want to deliver a much better performance against such prestigious opponents. Expect a tightly fought contest, where Liverpool could find it difficult to handle the Turkish side’s intensity and atmosphere.
Marseille vs Ajax – Anytime Goalscorer: Mason Greenwood @ 2.26
Marseille are flying right now. After their historic Ligue 1 victory over PSG, Roberto De Zerbi’s men followed it up with a 2-1 win at Strasbourg last weekend. Although they lost 2-1 away at Real Madrid on Matchday 1, their performance was encouraging – highlighted by the energy of Mason Greenwood. Back in Europe’s most prestigious competition, the English striker could well find the net against an Ajax side that looks within Marseille’s reach.
Barcelona to beat PSG @ 1.88
This is the headline clash of Matchday 2: last season’s semi-finalists against the reigning champions. Barcelona struggled to break down Newcastle last time out but were rescued by a Marcus Rashford brace in the second half, sealing a 2-1 win. Hansi Flick’s men now have the chance to defeat their rivals PSG, who are dealing with a serious injury crisis. Ousmane Dembélé, Desire Doué and Marquinhos are all out, while Vitinha, Joao Neves and Khvicha Kvaratskhelia remain doubtful. With so many stars potentially unavailable, PSG lose much of their usual collective strength and clinical edge.
