European Football – Weekend Betting Tips

After a midweek littered with fixtures from cup competitions across the continent, it is time to get back to top-flight action.

Aside from the Premier League, which is taking a short sabbatical to accommodate the FA Cup Fourth Round, the remainder of Europe’s top divisions resume this weekend.

So, here are some handy online betting tips from betFIRST, complete with the latest football odds.

And if you want to combine multiple selections on any of the matches mentioned below, our Multiway+ feature is a customisation tool which helps you play your way!

Real Betis to beat Celta Vigo @ 3.15

Hosts Celta Vigo are on a rotten run of form, suffering three defeats in four and only mustering a draw in the other of those fixtures. They are now just four points above the relegation zone and in desperate need of three points. But that won’t be easy to achieve against an improving Real Betis side, who followed up a 1-0 win at Mallorca with a 2-2 draw against high-flying Athletic Bilbao. It is a hard fixture to call in truth and that is reflected in the odds. However, we are siding with Betis, who strengthened their attack with the additions of Cucho Hernandez and Antony in the January transfer window.

Juventus to beat Como @ 2.10

The Friday night fixture in Serie A has all the makings of a thriller. Cesc Fabregas’ Como side are two points clear of the relegation zone and are on a run of two consecutive league defeats. This form will only provide Juventus with additional confidence, with the Old Lady bouncing back from a first league loss of the season to beat Empoli 4-1 last Sunday. On their day, Thiago Motta’s side are a match for anyone in Europe and while Como have proven they can mix it with the best in Serie A, we fancy them to come out second best in this contest.

Borussia Dortmund to beat Stuttgart @ 1.90

Dortmund’s season has been a bit of a nightmare up to this point. Well, in the Bundesliga at least. Sitting 11th in the table after 20 rounds of matches, BVB really need to get their act together if they want to play European football next season. But a 2-1 win at Heidenheim was the perfect follow up act to the 3-1 victory over Shakhtar Donetsk in the Champions League. And with Stuttgart losing their last two in the league, Dortmund should fancy their chances of making it back-to-back Bundesliga triumphs.

Nice vs Lens: Draw @ 3.30

This is a very tough match to call, hence why we have opted for a draw! Sixth-placed Lens are just a point behind Nice in fifth, with both sides winning three of their last five Ligue 1 fixtures. It is hard to split them and after the pair played out a 0-0 draw in last September’s reverse fixture, we are opting for the same outcome. Let’s just hope there are some goals this time!
