Chelsea vs Paris Saint-Germain Preview
It was a memorable Chelsea debut for former Fluminense forward Joao Pedro, who scored twice, before and after the break, to knock out his childhood club in the semi-finals.
This performance, in the absence of Liam Delap, is surely giving Enzo Marseca a headache as he looks to integrate his young attacking talents into a team that must withstand PSG’s ruthless counter-attacks.
Concerns over Moisés Caicedo’s injuries will not ease the Blues’ fears either, but Cole Palmer, explosive when he is on form, can be expected to be a key factor in their success.
Maresca’s Chelsea side are attractive but unpredictable. Although they were pushed around by a Fluminense side that was too imprecise in front of goal, they still made it to the final thanks to the memorable debut of their new striker, Pedro, who scored twice to knock out the club where he grew up (2-0). The goal now is to lift another trophy this season, after their victory in the Europa Conference League.
But PSG continue to impress and seem unbeatable. Luis Enrique’s men crushed Real Madrid in the semi-finals (4-0) and once again showed the full extent of their collective and individual talent.
Real Madrid made far too many mistakes. And against such a steamroller, the slightest technical or concentration error is fatal. The European champions literally walked all over the powerless Spaniards, developing high-class collective moves, led in particular by the excellent Fabian Ruiz.

Chelsea vs Paris Saint-Germain Betting Tips
PSG win @ 1.60
This season, PSG have come up against the biggest clubs in Europe and have often, if not always, come out on top. English clubs have been particularly kind to them, with Achraf Hakimi and his teammates defeating Liverpool, Aston Villa and Arsenal in their Champions League campaign. The momentum should therefore remain the same against Chelsea, a promising team but one that still seems too fragile, as demonstrated in their semi-final against Fluminense, where the London club showed their limitations.
PSG – Over 2.5 goals @ 2.70
With 10 goals scored in the last three games, PSG really are a formidable attacking machine, led by Ousmane Dembélé. With two goals in his last two games, the Ligue 1’s top scorer this season is in top form. If he scores in the Club World Cup final, he could well emerge as the favourite to win the Ballon d’Or in September.
Both teams to score – No @ 2.18
Since the start of the competition, PSG have conceded only one goal (in their defeat to Botafogo in the group stage). Despite Chelsea’s attacking strength, PSG’s defence looks impenetrable – and should once again prove to be rock solid.
