Three wins in the last four league fixtures was not enough to finish ahead of Napoli, while rivals AC Milan thrashed them 4-1 on aggregate in the semis of the cup.
In stark contrast, PSG were crowned champions of Ligue 1 back at the start of April and enter this fixture with another Coupe de France title secured, having beat Reims 3-0 in last weekend’s final.
After building such a high-quality team, knitted together by the midfield trio of Vitinha, Joao Neves and Fabian Ruiz, Enrique is on course to be the most popular man in the French capital!
