Belgium to beat Italy @ 2.50
Belgium need to win their two remaining matches to stand any chance of usurping France or Italy and achieving qualification for the Nations League quarter-finals.
With so much on the line, Domenico Tedesco’s side will be desperate to put in a solid display on home soil ahead of a final match against Israel.
Italy currently top League A Group 2 with 10 points, six ahead of Belgium, and are beginning to impress under the tutelage of Luciano Spalletti.
But this time around, we fancy the Azzurri to slip up as the hosts give their campaign a late shot in the arm. When these two sides met in Italy, the match finished 2-2 after a first half Lorenzo Pellegrini red card eventually saw Spalletti’s side surrender a 2-0 lead.
England to beat Greece @ 1.74
Lee Carsley’s England will be out for revenge when they travel to play Greece, who are three points clear at the top of League B Group 2 with 12 points from 12.
The Three Lions were famously beaten 2-1 in the reverse fixture at Wembley, which was their first loss of this Nations League campaign.
So the onus really is on England’s star-studded squad to deliver a top-quality away performance in this one as they prepare to enter the Thomas Tuchel era.
And even without potential absentees in Declan Rice, Bukayo Saka, Cole Palmer and Trent Alexander-Arnold, it is hard to look past the Euro 2024 finalists doing just that and moving level on points with Greece ahead of Matchday 6.
Norway to beat Slovenia @ 2.45
Norway currently top their Nations League group with seven points from four matches.
But with Austria and Slovenia on the same number, it is set to be a hard-fought battle across the next two matchdays to finish in the top two of League B Group 3.
And one of the best players in the world to have in such a tense situation is the free-scoring Erling Haaland, who netted twice in Norway’s 3-0 home win over Slovenia last month and boasts 34 goals in just 37 international appearances.
As such, it is not hard to envision another Haaland-led victory for the Scandinavian nation on Thursday, even with captain Martin Odegaard set to miss out once again.
Scotland to beat Croatia @ 3.50
Without doubt our boldest shout of the three, especially as Scotland are yet to taste victory in this edition of the Nations League.
However, Steve Clarke’s side often save their best displays for home matches and drew 0-0 with Cristiano Ronaldo’s Portugal last time out.
Scotland also gave a good account of themselves in their recent trip to Croatia, only losing 2-1 after taking the lead through Ryan Christie.
Of course, it will certainly not be easy to reverse that scoreline against a Croatia side who are second in League A Group 1, but with a raucous Hampden Park crowd acting as the 12th man, Clarke’s men can pull off a famous victory on Friday evening.
