The Jupiler Pro League enters a new phase this weekend.
It is play-off time in the Belgian top flight, as six teams battle to win the title and four others try to avoid relegation.
And, of course, six other teams will compete for qualification to next season’s Europa Conference League.

Club Brugge vs Anderlecht: Both teams to score @ 1.80
As opening Championship Round games go, it does not get much bigger than this! Belgium’s two most successful clubs lock horns in Bruges as both aim to chase down leaders Genk. Club Brugge are the big favourites ahead of kick-off thanks to their supreme home form, as well as Anderlecht’s worrying inconsistency. While we expect the hosts to eventually emerge victorious, the fact they conceded 36 goals in the regular season leads us to believe Anderlecht will at least get on the scoresheet – even without star striker Kasper Dolberg!
Genk to be winning at half-time and full-time vs Gent @ 2.45
The title is in Genk’s hands, with a four-point buffer between them and Club Brugge ahead of Matchday 1 in the Championship Round. Up first for Thortsen Fink’s side is a home match against Gent, who triumphed in just one of their previous four Pro League matches. Genk are unbeaten in five and are yet to lose at home in the top flight this term, so we are predicting the Championship favourites to begin their play-off campaign with a dominant win in front of their own fans.
Westerlo to beat Dender @ 2.55
A key match in the race for Conference League qualification, as Westerlo visit Dender with form firmly on their side. After flirting with the relegation zone, Westerlo won their final two matches of the regular season to finish a respectable ninth. In contrast, Dender ended with a whimper, losing four of the last five and only finishing above Cercle Brugge in the drop zone by virtue of having more wins. So we are firmly backing a Westerlo side who beat Anderlecht 2-0 on Matchday 29 and if anything, we are surprised by how good the odds are!
Kortrijk to beat Cercle Brugge @ 2.80
Speaking of Cercle Brugge, their regular season also ended very poorly with consecutive draws followed by two defeats in a row. So they are now competing to remain in the Pro League and first up is a trip to Kortrijk, who finished second from bottom. However, Kortrijk won their previous two games against Leuven and Gent, highlighting the quality within the squad. It should be a very close contest, but the hosts get our seal of approval!
