Club Brugge to beat Charleroi @ 1.54
Defending champions Club Brugge will be reeling from their Champions League exit at the hands of Aston Villa. A 3-0 loss in England confirmed a 6-1 aggregate defeat, so Nicky Hayen’s side will be eager to bounce back this weekend ahead of the Championship Play-Offs. Charleroi are in no danger of slipping into the relegation places and with only one win in the last five, Club Brugge should be able to claim an easy and confidence-boosting home victory.
Genk to beat Union Saint-Gilloise @ 2.65
The runaway leaders will be desperate to end the regular season with another triumph to boost their points total ahead of the Championship Play-Offs. Genk are unbeaten in five Pro League matches, having only lost four times all season. USG are, of course, one of the toughest opponents in the division, sitting third and on a run of three consecutive victories. But on home soil, Genk are formidable, a label they can continue to maintain on Matchday 30.
Cercle Brugge to beat Anderlecht @ 4.20
Okay, we know this is a huge risk, given that Cercle Brugge are in the relegation places and without a win in five. Last weekend’s 3-1 loss to city rivals Club Brugge has left them in serious danger, but a win at Anderlecht could be enough to lift them out of the drop zone at the expense of Dender. Anderlecht have lost two of the last three in the Pro League and with only the seventh-best home record in the division ahead of Matchday 30, the European hopefuls may provide Cercle Brugge with a welcome lifeline.
Westerlo to beat Beerschot @ 2.00
Speaking of Anderlecht, their 2-0 loss at Westerlo last weekend means De Kamphanen look on course to avoid the Relegation Round, as they sit pretty in 10th. However, Westerlo are only two points ahead of Cercle Brugge and Dender, so will want to be masters of their own destiny by claiming a victory at rock-bottom Beerschot at the weekend. All three of Beerschot’s wins in the Pro League this season have come at home, but we cannot see them making it four against a Westerlo side capable of mixing it with the best in Belgium.
