Club Brugge to score over 2.5 goals vs Standard Liege @ 2.15
After a tough run in the Pro League, Club Brugge will take on Standard Liege glowing with confidence after beating Atalanta 3-1 away from home, sealing passage to the last 16 of the Champions League with a 5-2 aggregate win. It was the biggest result of the season so far for Nicky Hayen’s side and one which could spark a revival in the top flight. Standard have lost their last two in the Pro League, conceding six goals in the process, so we are backing Club Brugge to stroll to victory on home soil by rippling the back of the net at least three times.
Genk to beat Gent and both teams to score @ 2.70
Genk enter the weekend eight points clear at the top of the table and right now, they are the favourites to be crowned champions of Belgium in 2024-25. Perhaps the only criticism that can be aimed at the leaders is their inability to keep clean sheets, tallying just one in the last five Pro League matches. So while we expect them to beat Gent on home soil, adding the BTTS market looks a sensible course of action. Gent are unbeaten in five in the league and have scored 38 goals overall, only one fewer than 3rd-placed Union Saint-Gilloise.
Anderlecht vs Union Saint-Gilloise: Draw @ 3.60
Speaking of USG, this weekend sees a battle between two sides trying to recover from Europa League exits. Anderlecht lost 5-2 to Fenerbahce on aggregate, while USG were beaten 3-2 over two legs despite winning 2-1 in Ajax. Fatigue could play a key role in the fixture, with their places in the Championship Play-Offs all but secured. So that is why we are opting for a draw here, which is also a handy way to boost our acca odds! The reverse fixture at USG back in September resulted in a 0-0 stalemate.
Antwerp to beat Leuven @ 1.95
It would take a remarkable collapse and other teams to go on a winning run for Antwerp to drop out of the Championship Play-Off places. The 5th-placed side are eight points clear of Standard in 7th, so a win this weekend could mathematically secure their spot. Antwerp are usually strong on home soil, while Leuven are the hallmark of inconsistency, evidenced by two wins, two losses and a draw in their previous five Pro League matches. Hosts Antwerp should have far too much firepower and motivation in this one.
