It is Matchday 16 in the Jupiler Pro League and as we step into the second half of the regular season, there is still so much to be decided.
This weekend sees league leaders Genk travel to St. Truidense as they look to maintain their six-point lead, while at the other end of the table Beerschot take on Cercle Brugge in a relegation six-pointer.
With a lot of interesting games to get stuck into, we are dropping some handy Acca tips to help enhance the excitement.

Mechelen to beat Kortrijk @ 2.20
It is 5th vs 15th as Mechelen – who are 10 points off the top – face Kortrijk, who are just seven points from the bottom of the table.
Mechelen were on a four-game winning streak across October, but now find themselves with just one win in three in November, which has slightly halted their otherwise progressive league form.
Nevertheless, we expect them to have enough to defeat Kortrijk, who are currently on a three-game losing run in the league that has left them second from bottom.
Standard Liege to beat Charleroi @ 4.00
This game is an interesting one to call, with the two midtable sides separated by just four points but on drastically different runs of form. Liege, sitting 8th, have won three of their last five in the league, while Charleroi have only managed one win in their last eight.
Albeit temporarily, a win for Liege could see them moved into the Championship Round positions in the top six, while a negative result for the home side could see them drop three places into the relegation zone.
So, to see a Liege win priced at 4.00, while a Charleroi victory is at 2.00, might be a bit misleading, but Chaeleroi’s home advantage might just give them the edge despite a concerning run. Regardless, we trust Standard to compound Charleroi’s current problems.
Club Brugge to beat FC Dender @ 1.26
We think this might qualify as the ‘home banker’, as 2nd-placed Club Brugge play relegation-threatened FC Dender.
Despite being 2nd, Brugge are just as close in points to 6th as they are to 1st-placed Genk, as they sit atop of a clutch of teams chasing the league leaders. One of the mitigating factors for this could be the fact that the reigning champions also have Champions League fixtures to contend with, which has allowed Genk to open up a gap at the top.
We expect the title race to go down to the wire, so a win for Club Brugge here is a must.
Royal Antwerp to beat Union Saint-Gilloise @ 4.55
Antwerp have had a solid first half of the regular season, finding themselves in 3rd, while opponents Union Saint-Gilloise have perhaps underperformed expectations.
This may be due to USG’s participation in the Europa League, with the extra fixtures taking their toll on the squad, but the players and fans will still be disappointed with how things have gone thus far.
Compared to recent years where they have comfortably qualified for the Pro League Championship Round, finishing the regular season top in 2023-24 and 2021-22, it seems like a lot will have to fall in their favour to achieve a similar result. With that being said, we think Antwerp will see them off on this occasion and grab all three points.
