Bayern Munich to beat Borussia Monchengladbach @ 1.41
Bayern continue their bid to reclaim the Bundesliga crown this weekend, as they travel to Monchengladbach with only one thing on their mind. The Bavarians have a four-point gap over second placed Leverkusen, which they will want to extend at every opportunity. With their rivals playing Dortmund this weekend, this could be the perfect opportunity. The return from injury of Harry Kane should give Bayern a boost but Monchengladbach won’t lie down and Vincent Kompany’s side will have to work if they want to start the year on a positive note.
Valencia to beat Sevilla @ 3.75
Two La Liga teams who are uncharacteristically struggling will go head-to-head this weekend in what could shockingly be described as a relegation skirmish. Valencia are in 19th, four points from safety and without a win in their last five. It is confusing how such a talented squad are in this position and something has to change if they are to beat the drop. We think this is what will power them to a decisive victory against an uninspiring Sevilla side who are currently 14th and at threat of being dragged into the battle to beat the drop.
Club Brugge to beat Anderlecht @ 2.15
A huge contest in the Jupiler Pro League, as 2nd-placed Club Brugge take on 3rd-placed Anderlecht with the title race at stake. Brugge will need a big win as they try to claw back their one-point deficit to leaders Genk and with things so tight, they cannot afford any mistakes. We think the reigning champions will manage a crucial win over an Anderlecht side struggling with the demands of a packed schedule, evidenced by them losing their last two games.
Aston Villa to beat West Ham @ 1.66
Two giants of English football are all set to go toe-to-toe once again on Friday evening in the world’s oldest cup competition, the famous FA Cup. Villa are looking to return to consistent positive form and put themselves in the frame to win the first trophy of the Unai Emery era. And they will see this as a perfect opportunity to go all out at Villa Park and secure passage to the next round. Even with the potential ‘new manager bounce’ for West Ham now that Graham Potter has replaced Julen Lopetegui, we think the hosts will capitalise on the opportunity.
