It’s Matchday 6 in the UEFA Champions League, which used to mean the final matches of the group stage. But with the new League Phase format, it’s one of three matchdays still to be played.
Liverpool top the League Phase with a 100% record – the only team in the competition with it. They are closely followed by Inter, who are also unbeaten, with a Matchday 1 draw with Manchester City their only blemish thus far.
As with every matchday in this new format, it seems, there are some great fixtures to enjoy, including Atalanta vs Real Madrid, Bayer Leverkusen vs Inter, Borussia Dortmund vs Barcelona, and Juventus vs Manchester. So, we’ve put together an Acca to help enhance the fun while watching these great games.

Liverpool to beat Girona @ 1.48
Liverpool are five wins from five so far and we fully expect them to make it six. Especially as they come into this game having not played at the weekend due to their Merseyside derby against Everton being postponed because of bad weather.
Their opponents Girona had an incredible season in 2023-24, which culminated in them qualifying for the Champions League by finishing third in La Liga. However, they have not been able to properly build on that success, falling into midtable domestically and sitting 30th in the Champions League.
Leverkusen to draw with Inter Milan @ 3.60
This is a tough one to call as the current champions of Germany and Italy meet, with only four places and three points separating them at this stage in the League Phase. After an opening matchday draw away at City, Inter – in 2nd – have won four in a row, while Leverkusen’s only defeat came at Anfield, as they occupy 6th.
Both of these teams will feel confident about qualifying in the top eight should they avoid defeat here, which is why we fancy a draw.
Arsenal to beat Monaco @ 1.30
This fixture will see 7th-placed Arsenal host 8th-placed Monaco, as two teams with identical records meet on Matchday 6. Despite Monaco achieving some impressive results so far, we expect Arsenal to take full advantage of being at home and win this one.
Should Monaco suffer defeat, it will be a tense ending to a campaign that started so positively. Their remaining fixtures are Aston Villa at home and Inter away, which will both be difficult to emerge from with the points needed to see them maintain their place in the top eight.
Juventus to draw with Manchester City @ 3.60
These are two big clubs that are going through challenging times at present. Juve have drawn seven of their last nine matches, while City have just one win over the same period – both shocking records.
So, it’s no surprise to see both these teams on the same amount of points (eight) scrapping it out in the middle of the League Phase, desperate to rack up the wins that will secure a play-off place, at the very least. In a result that doesn’t really help either’s cause, we can see this ending as a draw.
