Jupiler Pro League 2025/26: Our Predictions for Matchday 16

All odds are subject to change.

Mechelen to beat Standard Liège at 2.35

Fifth in the Pro League, Mechelen have been strong at home this season, especially against teams in the lower half of the table. Standard, meanwhile, are struggling to find the consistency needed to challenge for the top six and have been particularly vulnerable defensively away from home. With Lion Lauberbach in top form, already scoring five goals this season, a home win looks entirely plausible.

Club Brugge vs Royal Antwerp: Both Teams to Score – No at 2.00

With only 13 goals conceded so far, Club Brugge remain one of the strongest defensive sides in the league, especially at home. Antwerp, on the other hand, remain stuck at the bottom of the table. The team has scored just 14 goals this season and often adopts a cautious approach in big matches. After their Champions League defeat against Sporting Portugal (3–0), Tzolis and his teammates will be eager to react against a clearly inferior opponent and regain confidence with a clean sheet.

Draw between Racing Genk and OH Leuven at 4.35

Despite moments of attacking brilliance, eighth-placed Genk continue to struggle with finishing and securing wins, having already dropped several crucial points late in games. OH Leuven, although low in the standings, excel in discipline and often cause problems for favourites. Considering potential fatigue on Genk’s side following their Europa League match earlier in the week, combined with Leuven’s defensive organisation, a draw appears to be a very plausible outcome.

Union Saint-Gilloise to win at Anderlecht at 2.45

This is the headline clash of Matchday 16. Union Saint-Gilloise return to the league full of confidence after their valuable Champions League victory away at Galatasaray (0–1). Still top of the Pro League, David Hubert’s men impose a dynamic and intense rhythm that should trouble Anderlecht. The Mauves sit third, four points behind second place, but often show fragility in high-pressure matches. Union’s consistency and domestic dominance make an away win a strong betting choice.
