EuroLeague 2025/26: Our Predictions for Week 1
*All odds are subject to change
FC Barcelona to beat Hapoel Tel Aviv @ 2.05
Although Hapoel Tel Aviv has been on the rise in recent seasons (including their EuroCup win), Barcelona remains a club seasoned in EuroLeague battles, also with a more stable roster. If Barça can limit turnovers and control the game’s pace, victory is within reach. That said, with Hapoel playing at home, expect them to apply heavy pressure and make it a tightly contested clash.
Panathinaikos to beat Bayern Munich @ 1.17
Panathinaikos traditionally start strong at home, especially early in the season. Bayern Munich, while solid, often need time to adjust their roster at the beginning of the campaign. The home-court advantage and big-game experience lean in favor of the Greeks. Expect a tough, physical matchup. Panathinaikos will need to stay sharp from beyond the arc to secure the win.
Fenerbahce to beat Paris Basketball @ 1.28
Fenerbahce come in as the reigning champions, armed with depth, experience and elite defense. Paris Basketball were a pleasant surprise last season but still need to prove they can consistently challenge Europe’s elite. At home, it’s hard to see Fenerbahce being seriously troubled. The Turks should dominate the boards and dictate the tempo. Paris could make it competitive if their transition game and perimeter shooting click, but the balance tilts strongly toward Fenerbahce.
ASVEL to beat Valencia @ 2.08
Despite a difficult campaign last year, ASVEL enter this season with a strengthened squad and the hunger to make a statement. Playing at the Astroballe, backed by passionate fans, is a major advantage. Valencia, while impressive in EuroCup play, sometimes lack consistency on the road. With improved defensive intensity and more offensive weapons than in 2024/25, ASVEL have a genuine chance to strike. The 2.08 odds make this a valuable pick, especially if their key players step up.
